Zork Trilogy: bring a lamp.
Zork I, II, and III are implemented for late.sh, awaiting merge: three classic text adventures, private saves, and a mailbox worth opening.
late.sh is getting a door into the Great Underground Empire. Zork I, Zork II, and Zork III are implemented in the development branch, with merge and rollout still ahead. Here's a look at what's waiting on the other side.
These are Infocom's classic text adventures: explore, collect things, puzzle over what to do with them, and type your next move. LOOK, INVENTORY, NORTH, OPEN MAILBOX. The pictures happen in your head. Zork I begins outside that familiar white house, with a small mailbox and plenty of trouble ahead.
Once it lands, open Games → Zork Trilogy and choose an edition. Each has Continue, Load manual save, and Start new game. Your progress is private to your account, with an autosave and one manual save per game. Type SAVE to replace that manual slot, optionally adding a description so you remember what you were attempting before things went sideways.
The autosave brings you back to the last saved prompt. The manual slot gives you a deliberate fallback before a questionable decision; starting over doesn't erase it. RESTORE asks before returning you to the edition menu, where you can choose what to load.
Need to check the chat? Press backtick (`) to step out while the game stays open. After 20 minutes without game input, the live session closes; Continue picks up from its last automatic checkpoint. There's time for coffee between puzzles.
Three adventures. One terminal. Mind the dark.
